Pay Attention to Your Vehicle Brakes

Brake Disc

Brake failure has resulted in accidents over the years. That’s why it’s important for drivers to pay attention to their vehicle’s brake components by checking on them regularly. After all, it’s not just their lives that are on the line; there are also the lives of the people tagging along with them to consider. One component that should be periodically checked is the brake disc.

Installed on the wheel or axle, the brake disc works on stopping your vehicle from moving thanks to the friction it generates after it’s squeezed by the brake caliper and pads. It’s made from high-grade materials such as reinforced carbon or ceramic-matrix composites to keep it from succumbing to the heat produced when friction is generated.

Of course no matter how careful you are, the brake disc will eventually succumb to wear and tear. So to help you determine whether it’s time to bid them good-bye, here are some things you should be aware off:

  1. Squealing sounds every time you hit the brakes is your brake disc’s way of telling you that it’s about to go. So don’t take it lightly. Have it inspected and replaced if needed.
  2. The thickness of the brake pad’s lining shouldn’t be near the steel backing plate. If it is, replacement needs to be done to avoid brake failure.
  3. A brake disc that’s scored or unevenly worn-out should also be looked into. Either have your mechanic fix it by regrounding it or have it replaced if it’s beyond repair.

Remember, brake failure is one of the primary causes of road accidents. So if you want to avoid falling prey to this, make sure you have a brand new brake disc today. Most web sites offer this component in their catalog along with the benefits of free shipping.

Your Fat Loss Potential and a Swift Kick in the Butt.. Part 2

Your Fat Loss Potential and a Swift Kick In The Butt

By Scott Tousignant
Creator of the Fat Loss Quickie Product Line

With a little bit of inspiration and finding the full potential you can….

I know that you are worth more than you may be thinking at this moment. Take some time and really think about what you are honestly worth.

I also know that you are better than the effort that you have been putting forth. How do I know that? Because we can all do better. We can all dig deeper. We can all push our limits. We can all experience a new level of greatness.

Here's one last important statement that Rocky makes in this clip, "Until you start believing in yourself you're not going to have a life."

Wow! How's that for a kick in the butt? That's some serious tough love, but if you have seen the movie you know that it was exactly what Rocky's son needed to hear. Rather than get defensive he took that hit from his dad, let it soak in, and used it to explore who he really is and what he is really worth.

We all have goals and dreams, but do you believe that you will achieve them? I mean deep down with every ounce of your being believe that you will achieve them?

If you don't truly believe that you will reach your goals I strongly recommend that you listen to the amazing 18 minute audio that I did with Fat Loss Expert Tom Venuto on overcoming limiting beliefs. You can download it and listen to it over and over again.

Losing weight is not easy. Maintaining that weight loss is not easy either. Believing in yourself is not always the easiest thing to do as you may have experienced. Striving to continuously discover new ways to improve yourself, your body, and your health, takes a heck of a lot of work. But the rewards are always well worth the price that you had to pay in order to achieve them.

No one and nothing is holding you back from achieving the body and life that you deserve except for yourself. Take responsibility. Take massive action. Take the hits and keep moving forward. Focus on your goal and don't stop until you've achieved it. Turn your WISH into a MUST! Don't just HOPE for it to happen... EXPECT it to happen.
Embrace the challenges that you are faced with and use them to sculpt the body and life that you deserve.

Carve out a new path and lay down the pavement for others to follow so they too will experience the incredible successes that you are about to achieve.

It's time for progress and growth. Hit me with your best shot. Bring on everything you've got. I can take it and a heck of a lot more. I AM UNSTOPPABLE!

To achieving your limitless potential,
Scott Tousignant

“I Just do not have time to Exercise!”

Written by: Susanne Myers

How many times have you said to yourself that you just don’t have the time to exercise? Don’t feel bad; it’s my favorite excuse as well. We all have busy lives and not much time for anything in our schedule. That’s why I wanted to share some of my favorite ways to sneak some exercise into everyday activities with you.

Get Up Earlier Did you know that you are much more likely to stick with any type of exercise program, if you do it in the morning? Makes sense, doesn’t it. The day is new, and you haven’t had a chance yet to get burned out from long meetings at the office or running around town all day. It’s hard to get motivated to work out after a long day, so why not get it out of the way first thing in the morning?

Set your alarm to go off 20 – 30 minutes earlier than usual and ride your exercise bike, go for a brisk walk through the neighborhood, or get an exercise tape and work out with it in the morning. Exercise is a great way to start your day and you’ll feel energized throughout the rest of your day.

Walk During Commercial Breaks You just settled down on the couch to watch your favorite TV show, and it goes to commercial. That’s the perfect time to get in a little exercise. Just get up and march in place right in front of the TV until the commercial break is over. Doing this even just once or twice a day will start making a big difference. You can even wear a pedometer to get an idea for how much walking you get done during your favorite TV shows.

Once you get used to your commercial workout, step it up a notch by marching through the entire show. Now that’s a workout! Plus you don’t have to feel guilty about watching Desperate Housewives anymore instead of doing the dishes – you’re exercising.

Work On Your Abs While You Wait In Line One of my least favorite things to do is to stand in line. Whether it’s at the grocery store, the pharmacy or the DMV, it just seems like such a waist of time to just stand there and wait. That is unless you are working out at the same time. You can get a great abs workout standing in line and best of all, no one has to notice. Here’s how you do it:

Stand up straight and suck in your stomach as hard as you can. Hold and count to ten before you release. Repeat. Each of these counts as one sit-up and is just as effective. Just imagine how many sit-ups you can do just while waiting in line each week.

Go For A Family Hike Or Bike Ride Instead of just hanging out on the weekends, take the family for a hike or go on a bike ride. You get to spend some quality time with your family and get some great exercise at the same time.

If your life is as busy as mine, give a few of these exercise tips a try and see if you can’t start to find time to work out a few times a week.

Pre-decorate?

Did you say “Pre-decorate?” Most of us would like to hit the ground running with a new decorating project but that causes more problems than there need be. Before tackling any type of decorating, clear out any clutter that is hindering your efforts. Know what do to do and how to begin, to make your re-decorating go smoothly and hassle free.

Before you  start get a clear picture of what the room actually looks like, clean it up. You heard correctly: Clean out the unnecessary stuff you have collected over the years. This includes bins of old bills, papers, items that you are not using anymore, furniture pieces, etc. If it still has character you may be able to re-use or sale.

Many times, the problem is that there is not enough space because you are storing things that should have been thrown out long ago. In some cases it may not be that it may need to be re-decorated it just might need to be found through all the clutter. De-clutter and get organized.

Where to Start you de-clutter process: Begin with the paper. Most areas offer recycling now. Bundle old newspapers, school papers, old notebooks, ads and junk mail together and place in the recycling bin. For bills, invest in a shredder to take care of them before throwing them out in the trash. I don’t think some of us really realize just how much paper from magazine to books to drawing from our kids that we have collected in piles. Its time to recycle and get rid of it.

Clean out your closets. A good rule of thumb: If you haven’t worn it in at least six months, you probably never will. Give clothing away to Goodwill or hold a yard sale and make some change to fund the redecorating project. You’ll be surprised how much space you can find if the old stuff is carted away. Don’t just do your closet, do your children’s closets as well. I couldn’t believe just how many clothes my kids had that did not fit them anymore, that was just taking up closet, dresser and even floor space.

Go to the attic. Clear out old toys and boxes that you never look into. A clean attic is a place to put the Christmas tree or box up winter coats and things that you want or need to keep that are cluttering up the living spaces below.

Now Take Inventory of What is Left; After all of the clutter is gone (this is not a one-day task), take stock of what is left. What about old wall hangings or mirrors hall closet? Can you use them? Repurpose some things around the house to be used to decorate another room. Put these things in one place so you can get a proper look at them and see if you can use them. Sometimes just refinishing or repainting can add that special touch of color that fit’s the room you are looking at. Re-doing something you already have is not as costly as buying new.

My tip to go room by room, when you start with one room when you decorate is start with a room that gets less traffic to make it less chaotic. When you finish that room and you see how great of a job you have done, you are prepared to move onto the next room with excitement. The trick is to completely finish one project before moving on to the next. Keep the momentum going until you are completely satisfied with every room you want to de-clutter and redecorate.

Before you decorate, you have to clean up. It is hard to decorate and clean at the same time. Remove unwanted items from you home so you can start with a clean slate.
